Beginning in August 2014, Dr. Chelsea Hardin will be joining the Surgical Associates team. She will be seeing patients at the Providence St. Vincent's location from 1:00pm - 5:00pm on Tuesday afternoons. Dr. Hardin is a broadly-trained general surgeon who has a particular interest in the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases of the breast. She is board certified in general surgery and is also trained in robotic-assisted surgery as well..

Advanced laparoscopic options for surgical procedures include most upper gastrointestinal cases, reflux/heartburn, esophageal surgery, pancreatic surgery, and hernias. Removal of the spleen, kidney, adrenal or appendix in most cases may also be done laparoscopically.
Endocrine surgery can be performed on the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and pancreatic neuroendocrine glands.
Our general thoracic surgeons can treat lung cancer, severe emphysema, cancer of the esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernias, and swallowing disorders such as achalasia.
Dr. Hardin completed her surgical residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University in 2006.
Dr. Hardin practiced for 8 years in San Diego, California, where she co-chaired the Breast Cancer Leadership Team.
Dr. Hardin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the San Diego Medical Society and Oregon Medical Association.
