Shaghayegh Aliabadi MD, FACS

“It’s rewarding that patients trust me with their health and with the person they are. There’s an instant intimacy where I’m part of their family and one of their friends, and they share things about their lives, their hopes, and their fears.”

Dr. Shaghayegh Aliabadi focuses on thyroid and parathyroid surgery as well as management of breast cancer. Whenever possible, she emphasizes a minimally invasive approach to treatment of endocrine diseases. She is very interested in surgical care improvement outcomes to optimize patient care. Over the years, she has been active in the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, serving on various committees, and contributing as co-director of advanced endocrine surgery courses.

When not working, Dr. Aliabadi enjoys hiking, floral arranging, and Rummikub.
